- Thursday, September 10th: September is really what I consider
the beginning of each new year. It's when most of the beginnings occur and
there's a more definite ending as summer fades, at least here in Minnesota.

I notice how the seasons show up in my songs pretty often. I guess that's a central element to how I organize the world.
Our prairie starts to turn to shades of gold in September. The fall is upon
us in this north country fair.
