a year of songs: number 31
- Thursday, July 30th: Pondering what to write a song about
this week, I went through our family photographs. I came across an old portrait
of four generations on Candy's side of the family. I found it much more moving
now than when we had it taken, due to the passing of time, I guess. Here
is Number 31: "Pattern Of Years".

The box full of photographs and the computer: both store our frozen moments that
become more meaningful and precious with time, and with change in our
lives.
I head to the West again for a while. Songs for the next two weeks will be
written and recorded in the mountains and high plains. The critters
may be joining me again with their noises and singing.
