Thursday, April 9th: I've always been into maps and can
spend much time studying them. Traveling always redraws the map in my head,
especially the "people map". The folks we met in Austria
left me in a new place, so it's time to redraw. Here's number 15, "Four
Thousand Miles" vs 2:
I'm going to attempt to write a new song (or tackle old unfinished songs)
at a pace of one per week. I'll record them and post them here, as well as
the 52 Songs facebook
group and ReverbNation.com.
I'm hoping you will take a few minutes to listen and/or download them
(for free) and occasionally give me feedback.
52 songs in 52 weeks. January 1st - December 24th, 2009.
A few disclaimers and ground rules:
1. I may cheat and do two songs some weeks and take a week off.
2. I may change something in a song as I hear your feedback, and as I get used to performing it. If you like the initial version, save it because it might change.
3. I'll try some new things. I may experiment with sounds and song structure. You're not going to like all my experiments.
4. At some point, I may move a song over to iTunes or Popcuts.com and sell it.
Then I'll probably remove the free
version.
THE KEY: I can only do this if I believe that others are in on this
project too. I need to hear from some of you or I'll never make it. And some
songs won't be that great, but I'll post them anyway.
